Catapult!

Here it is:  our bean catapult in all of its glory.  Our group developed the catapult in response to the challenge of: get a bean to travel 4 meters.  Once we got our bean to fly the trouble was keeping it under control.  We stabilized the ruler in order to minimize the randomness of the bean trajectory.  The single bean on its own went way too far (and hit a few people) so we taped two together and added the further weight of a separate clothes pin to the beans.  this brought the range of the beans into a 4 meter range consistently.

Goldberg Machine

I watched the Goldberg Machine video, and it looked like a good way to make a mess, and destroy a bunch of stuff.  I'm still figuring out how this blog stuff works....
